The Howell Valley R-1 Foundation was established to provide support and resources for Howell Valley R-1 School. The mission of the foundation is to "promote community support for excellence in education, and to provide the resources for new projects and opportunities, in order to prepare our students to successfully meet the challenges of the future".
The foundation has several projects and goals that have been completed. They include: installation of awnings to shelter students during parent pick up, a covered walkway between elementary and middle school buildings, and new floor coverings for the FEMA building.
Exciting plans are in the works! The Foundation is working on raising money to purchase new playground equipment for Howell Valley. Fundraising began with a Bake sale held at Hirsch Feed. Hirsch's donated a $250 gift card for a raffle. Many more fundraising ideas are being planned! Proposed playground equipment:
Megan Nickey - President
Sam Cobb- Vice President
Nathan Cropper - Treasurer
Cindy Temple - Secretary
