Our elementary students had an absolute blast putting the middle schoolers’ mini golf course creations to the test! ⛳️
After our middle school summer school students designed and built their own putt-putt holes, the elementary students got the opportunity to play the course — and they loved every minute of it!
It was great to see students of all ages working together, learning, and having fun through this creative summer school project. Great job to our middle school designers and our elementary golfers! 🏌️♂️🏌️♀️

Our middle school summer school students recently put their creativity and teamwork to the test by designing and creating their own holes for a mini golf course! ⛳️
Students worked in groups to plan, build, and test their creations while also putting their math skills to work. From measuring angles to using the Pythagorean Theorem, this project was the perfect combination of learning and fun!
We are so proud of the creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving our students showed throughout this activity. Great job, Panthers! 🏌️♂️🏌️♀️

Our middle school students recently had the opportunity to visit the Office of Workforce Development and Community Education at Missouri State University!
During their visit, students explored exciting hands-on activities like flying drones and learning about 3D printing technology. Experiences like these give our students a chance to explore new skills and future career opportunities in a fun and engaging way.
We would like to extend a big thank you Trevor Cressman at the Office of Workforce Development and Community Education for inviting us to visit their facility and providing such a great experience for our students!

Our middle school students had the opportunity to try their hand at fishing this week, and judging by these photos, many of them were very successful! 🎣
More importantly, they had a great time enjoying the outdoors, learning new skills, and making memories with friends. We love seeing our students take part in experiences like these! 🐟☀️

We had such a fun visit at summer school yesterday! Fishland of West Plains came by and introduced the kids to all sorts of amazing animals—from cockatiels and snakes to gerbils, guinea pigs, and even amphibians! A huge thank you to them for making learning about animals so engaging and fun for all of our students.
No students or employees were harmed by "Snakie" the 7 .5 ft Columbian Red Tailed Boa Constrictor —just a whole lot of wonder and excitement about these animals!

Our summer school students had an exciting opportunity to visit the Howell County Sheriff’s Department this week! We would like to thank the department for welcoming our students, showing us around, and taking the time to teach us more about the important work they do for our community.
The highlight of the visit was definitely meeting K9 Ares — he quickly became everyone’s favorite part of the day!
We appreciate the Howell County Sheriff’s Department for making this such a fun and memorable experience for our students!

Mrs. Dixon’s 6th grade science class has been enjoying the fruits of their labor. Thanks to a generous donation from the PTO, the raised garden beds have provided numerous learning opportunities—from designing the project and building the beds to planting and now harvesting. Mrs. Dixon hopes to extend these hands-on learning experiences into the summer by involving preschool students as well.

It’s been a full day at Howell Valley, but we couldn’t let it pass without sharing some moments from Mrs. Tackett’s retirement celebration. We appreciate all she has given to our school, our students, and our staff over the years. Wishing her all the best in this next chapter!

Our preschool families joined us this morning for cinnamon rolls to help celebrate the end of the school year.
