Tomorrow is HV Sports Camp! I hope the kids are as excited to get back into the swing of athletics as I am. Here is a list of items to bring for camp:
Thursday: Gym shoes, outdoor shoes or cleats, glove/softball or baseball equipment $15 registration fee. Friday: Same as Thursday plus running shoes, a tent and personal hygiene items to spend the night. All campers must bring a refillable water bottle as hydration will be necessary throughout the camp. Also, we will be providing kids with Pizza for supper on Friday night and a pancake breakfast Saturday morning, but kids are welcome to bring snacks. However, please do not send Soda. Kids will need to be drinking water in order to feel good during our activities. Sports drinks are acceptable, but only as a supplement to water.
This is a good time for our athletes to get re-acquainted with each other and bond as a group before their school year. Parents please understand that this is better done without an audience of parents on Thursday and Friday. However, on Saturday I would like to encourage parents to come support their kids in our final competitions. Starting around 7:30 we will have some unique Track events that the kids will be competing in outdoors. After this, around 10:00 we will move into the gym and complete our activities with some basketball games. Following this there will be a brief awards ceremony.

Howell Valley Open House will be coming up soon, and with the increase in Covid-19 cases in our area, we will continue to be diligent in implementing measures to help reduce exposure for our community.
One way is to schedule appointments. We understand you may have several students in different grades, and Open House scheduling could be a challenge. Our goal is to try and streamline the process by asking you to schedule all your children’s visits through the Howell Valley office. By scheduling through the office, Mary Ann will work to get your appointments as close together as possible.
Open House is scheduled for August 17th and 19th from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Please contact the office (256-2268), to schedule your appointment(s).

There was a glitch with the registration form for the HV Sports Camp. That has been fixed. You must have a Google account to register online. If you don't there are hard copy registration forms in the school front office. Summer hours are Mon.-Thur. 7:00-3:00. You can pick it up and drop it off there. Register by Aug. 9.
